What is SEO?

SEO, or Search Engine Optimisation, focuses on increasing the quantity and quality of traffic to your website through organic (non-paid) search engine results.  The goal is to improve your ranking, so you appear on the first page of a Google search engine results page (SERP).

What’s so good about SEO? Studies have shown that only about 2.8% of people click on paid advertisements regardless of where they appear on the results page.

The process  begins with understanding what potential customers are searching for when they are looking for a business like yours.  Keyword and keyword phrase research makes sure your relevant website pages are being returned in those searches.

On-page optimisation, is the process of making sure the relevant page is optimised propertly for the keyword or keyword phrase identified as most relevant.  The final stage is to measure the success of the optimisation for your chosen KPI.
